#2 - Portrait

What is an artist? I never used to ask think about that specific topic, not even about myself. According to the Cambridge Dictionary, an artist is someone who creates things with great skill and imagination.

I guess an artist, nowdays it’s a job but also passion. If I would give my definition of it, it’s more like a historian. At first, it was a game. I used to try to dray portraits when I was about 6 years old. Inspired by my Italian teacher, Alberto, who was an amazing artist and used to draw because he loved it.

I was so inspired by him. He was so nice and charismatic. And the drawing he did made us smile like nothing else. I can still feel the joy I had when He draws for my a portrait of one of my favorite character or the time he decides to the a portrait of each one of us. Not long after that, I started to copy his drawing. My technic was awful, I had no sense of promotions but he took time to teach me. And BAM I never stopped, it was the beginning of the end, as I like to say :)

Almost, twenty years after I never stopped drawing. Learning new technics and ways to express my art, mixing the art and medias. And the better part is that it’s still as good as the first day.

Okay, I used art and painting as my personal journal but it’s also a part of me now. It’s who I am and always will be. I only hope that everyone get to know what’s makes you “you” because there is no better feeling. Through dark and bright situation it never fails you.
